Threats to Capitalism

1) On March 15,2014 Jeremy Rifkin wrote a opinion piece on The New York Times talking about a new threat on capitalism. Through his opinion he talks about Maginal cost which is the charge in the total cost that arises from producing one more unit of a goal.
2) "Paradox at the heart of capitalism ...threatening it's future", was said by Jeremy Rifkin. What Mr.Rifikin means is it might not seem true by it looks like everything is so cheap its baiscy free.
3) One example that relates to what Rifkin is music. You can go to need online website to download the latest music without paying a cent. Which makes it hard for artist to make need money.
Another example is movies; downloading free movies or watch just watching them online also make it hard for the actors to get pay or even pay for the equipment they use.
4) In the article he wrote he mentions "the internet of things" in which every single device that has access to the internet are connected. By uploading different types of data this will attract more consumers to make more educated purchasing decisions. By doing this the marginal cost will be decreasing and the threat to capitalism will increase.
5) I agree with Rifkin because it will be hard for people to make money if everything is on the internet. So this will be a threat to capitalism.
